LEON TAN

EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT

Leon brings a compassionate, student-centred approach to supporting children with learning difficulties. With a background as a high school teacher in Singapore, he has extensive experience helping students who struggle in traditional classroom and tutoring environments, particularly in Mathematics.

Leon has worked closely with students with diverse learning needs, including ADHD, dyscalculia, and dyslexia, targeting gaps in their Mathematics development. He has worked with children from mid-primary age to the advanced levels of Mathematics in senior high school (Year 11-12). Leon has worked with leading software developers to support development of Mathematical curriculum, programs and resources. As an Assistant Year Head, he also led teams of teachers to better support learners who required alternative approaches to succeed.

Leon is passionate about creating a relaxed and supportive learning environment where children can build confidence, overcome challenges, and experience success at their own pace. Leon finds great fulfilment in helping students develop resilience and a positive relationship with learning.

At PosAbility, Leon provides educational intervention in Mathematics for children from Year 3-Year 12 and is dedicated to making learning accessible, meaningful, and empowering for every child.
