SAMANTHA NUZUM

EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT

Samantha is a passionate and dedicated educator with over eight years of teaching experience across Australia and the United Kingdom. She has held a variety of teaching, leadership and consultancy roles, including Classroom Teacher, Associate Principal, Literacy Subject Coordinator and Literacy Specialist and Consultant.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with Honors in Primary Education – The University College Plymouth St Mark and St John, UK

Samantha is deeply committed to creating nurturing and inclusive learning experiences where every child feels understood, valued and empowered to succeed. She believes that building confidence and self-belief is just as important as developing academic skills.

With extensive expertise in literacy development, Samantha has led whole-school literacy initiatives, mentored educators and delivered professional development across Western Australia through her consultancy work with the Dyslexia-SPELD Foundation (DSF). Her specialism in Pie Corbett’s Talk for Writing approach has provided opportunities to present alongside Pie Corbett and collaborate on educational research projects in the United Kingdom, strengthening her passion for evidence-based teaching and its transformative impact on children’s learning.

Samantha has considerable experience supporting children with diverse learning profiles, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism and speech and language difficulties. She has a particular interest in neurodiversity, childhood anxiety and the relationship between emotional wellbeing, confidence and learning. Her commitment to ongoing professional development has led her to complete further study in ADHD and Macquarie University’s Cool Kids Anxiety Program, deepening her understanding of how best to support children to flourish.

At PosAbility, Samantha combines her specialist literacy knowledge with a compassionate, creative and highly individualised approach to teaching. Through targeted, evidence-informed instruction and close collaboration with families, teachers and allied health professionals, she strives to equip children with the skills, strategies and confidence to become increasingly independent and successful learners.

Above all, Samantha finds enormous joy in helping children discover what they are capable of achieving. She is particularly passionate about celebrating the small steps that lead to significant breakthroughs, nurturing a love of learning and ensuring that every child experiences the pride and confidence that comes with success.
